Our world headquarters is located next to Westover Air Force Base at the cross roads of New England providing easy access to all forms of transportation.
Iron Duck is the brand name of products produced by Fleming Industries, Inc. a USA owned multi generational family business that designs, manufactures and markets products to the Emergency Medical markets world wide.

Our facility is organized and operated using Best Practices and Lean Manufacturing techniques that enable us to compete in todays world market.

The Iron Duck brand name was arrived at by combining 2 materials that are synonymous with durability.

Iron: great strength, hardness
Duck: strong tight weave canvas fabric

Today Iron Duck carry cases are made from the highest quality nylon and vinyl fabrics available. This ensures that all Iron Duck products perform as you expect them to, flawlessly.

History

• 1976 started business as distributor of patient gowns and scrub suits sold to hospitals and nursing homes
• 1980 started producing line of patient apparel.
• 1983 Started manufacturing stitched “EMS” products.
• 1986 began manufacturing wooden backboards.
• 1990 expanded line of sewn EMS products
• 1990 began widespread use of Iron Duck brand name
• 1991 designed first seamless plastic spine board for EMS market
• 1995 moved to new headquarters in Chicopee, MA
• 1997 expanded manufacturing capabilities to include rotational molding for spine boards
• 2000 awarded contracts from US military for medic cases
• 2003 added 2 more spine board designs to product line
• 2007 awarded multi year contract for FDNY EMS cases and spine boards
• 2009 added line of Urban back packs to EMS line
• 2011 added line of Midwife carry cases to product offerings
