Lets take a minute to understand the difference between the right way and wrong way to manufacture EMS carry cases and equipment bags. The right way is the Iron Duck way. What is the Iron Duck Way? You already know how much time and resources we spend in the design of your products. We believe in a simple, yet effective principle of manufacturing - Over Kill!

We know that you require the best possible products. That's why we double stitch every seam, use only YKK brand zippers, electroplated metal hardware, durable industrial elastic, top quality 1000 Denier Dupont Cordura Nylon fabric and our Exclusive Iron Duck Universal Precautions Material. We get calls every day from raw material suppliers trying to sell us "off brand" or cheaper alternatives. We simply explain to them that you deserve better than a "cheaper alternative."

Bag construction. Many manufactures single-stitch seams and "cut corners" when constructing bags. At Iron Duck, we double-stitch corners for added strength and durability. In some cases we even triple-stitch them to reinforce stress points. We use computerized sewing machines to stitch handles onto the case, assemble shoulder straps, and attach elastic. And every Iron Duck carry case or equipment bag has handles that go around the entire product. This creates a "sling" effect, so the amount of stress on the fabric is reduced therefore increasing the durability of the case!

 

The Zipper. A simple, yet vital, part of any carry case, the zipper is opened hundreds, if not thousands, of times during the life of a bag. We use the YKK zipper. Why? Simply, it's the best available on the market! And for easy handling when every second counts, we use the largest possible zipper for a particular application. (Remember, "OVER KILL!") As important as it is to use the best zipper for the job, it is also as important to put it in correctly. The only correct way is to double stitch the zipper into the gusset. Many of the "look-a-like" products in the market place only single-stitch their zippers.
